CRACKING DOWN ON FRAUD: NEW STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Over the past several months, our organization has faced an unprecedented wave of fraudulent activity, including our website ILLEGALLY STOLEN by lls, stolen identities, fake registrations, and financial scams targeting Light The Night. After extensive investigation, we’ve identified clear patterns of exploitation, most of which lead back to individuals connected to the leukemia & lymphoma society (lls) through family members who had or passed away from cancer.
While we cannot yet confirm whether lls is directly enabling or encouraging this fraudulent behavior, the repeated connections are undeniable that they must be behind it or these individuals wouldn’t know anything about us. Add on the amount of “witnesses” involved in high profile court cases, blacklists, etc against individuals who once donated to lls but stopped, says it all.
IMMEDIATE CHANGES TO COMBAT FRAUD
To protect our organization and ensure only legitimate participants can access our events, we are implementing the following strict new policies:
1. Age Restriction: Minimum 26+ to Participate
– Due to the high volume of scams tied to younger individuals, we are raising the minimum age requirement to 26.
– This decision was not made lightly, but the data shows it is necessary to deter fraudulent registrations.
2. Mandatory Government ID Verification
– No exceptions. Every registrant must upload a valid, Permanent REAL ID (no other id accepted) for identity confirmation.
– Fake or stolen identities will be immediately flagged and reported to authorities.
3. Aggressive Legal Action Against Fraudsters
– Anyone caught committing fraud will have their full information submitted to:
– State law enforcement
– ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)
– Federal fraud investigation units
– We will press charges where applicable and ensure scammers face legal consequences.
A FINAL WARNING TO SCAMMERS
If you are considering attempting fraud against our organization, know this:
When you falsely report your order as fraud, we will located your employer and let them know that you purchased tickets to our event and the card holder reported as fraud so you may be stealing card numbers from their customers, giving them to your 18 year old girlfriend and going on shopping sprees for event tickets, etc. We will give them all details and we will post your name on their social media in posts telling them this as well so their customers can also see.
We’ve been a strong supporter of immigration rights up until seeing the amount of individuals stealing from our business. We can no longer afford to be inclusive. If lls is threatening to withhold treatment or help to your family member unless to steal from us, we will support you in reporting them. If they are offering free help if you steal from us, we’re sorry but not only you, but your family member will also suffer the consequences of potentially being deported with you for your crimes and lls will be done with you and not help then either, they’ll throw you under the bus to try to save themselves. They’re facing a lawsuit over billions of dollars and you’re increasing that amount with every theft, they will throw you under the bus.
To our legitimate participants: We apologize for these stringent measures, but they are necessary to protect our integrity and resources. Thank you for your understanding.
